Previously "draws two cards, then discards two cards" instead of mill
I think I'll either remove the Horror token or shift it up in rarity.
Moved to uncommon.
I have always struggled with complexity. Haha.
Thanks. It has been really fun generating all of the card art. It actually helped me get back into designing again.
👍
That makes sense. I might end up dropping them or making them uncommon only.
This set is an amazing use case of MidJourney. Took me a while to even realize ai generated art was being used.
This looks to be another weirdly complex creature token alongside the "while opponent has life" one that I would be considering doing something - either turning the creation of them into a keyword action or perhaps removing one of them since having two of these types of tokens seems a bit, idk, excessive?
The vanilla white Illusion tokens are fine.
It's also notable that you also have the Desert tokens here potentially eating some of that token space.
I would personally add a "Lands are colorless" reminder text here since especially newer players tend to wrongly think that lands have colors by default.
Quite wordy for a common btw, by NWO rules commons with roughly 4+ lines of rules text get red-flagged.
All of these cards generating these Nightmare tokens are currently very complex. Since you already have 3 commons making them, I think it would make sense and help with the complexity a bunch if you turned the creation of these tokens into an action keyword of some kind (ie. investigate).
Thank you!
removed sift
Not intentionally, no.
Yes. There are minor monocolor themes that are meant to seed UX themes for set 2.
: Tapped creatures.
: Merfolk x Faeries
: Mill
: Currently reminisce, though most likely to change.
I agree re: Archon's Arrow. I drafted these as a way to show some of the story of the plane, in which Archons destroyed or drastically depleted the "iconic" creature types.
The sphinxes proved the most resilient to their efforts and so the Archons ended up messing up the entire plane's blue man in their attempts.
Ope 🙃
Good suggestion.
Is this like a Prophecy reference?
Very peculiar. It would definitely feel more appropriate if it cost like
but I certainly see the logic behind it by mimicking impulse drawing.
Since I note the other monored milling cards here, I suppose it's a bending theme in the set.
Cute design, I like it 👍
