This is exactly the kind of design we need a better way to ddo for - the concept is easy and grokkable, but look at the amount of text you need to basically say:
> "This has either first strike or lifelink."
The task of the designer is to come up with a card face/text box that takes away all the book keeping of counters and having to remember whether it has lifelink with or without the counter.
The idea is trivial, but the solution should look more like flip cards or DFCs - maybe level up.
Charge counters usually go on artifacts; but other than that, seems legit. Rather good, too.
Yep. It's literally a reprinted Spirit Link, but reflavored for this set.
I see what you mean, and I know how to fix it. Also, Cultist IS a supported creature type in this set, so pay attention.
Too much card advantage at common? It's basically a Divination + a 1/1 for free.
It has added stalling element as a chump body + you can use it with all the creature recursion and flickering tech so you got a nasty centerpiece for a deck. Reminds me somewhat of Solemn Simulacrum - and that's not okay for a common.
Cultist is not an official creature type, and sounds too specific to become one IMO. Maybe consider switching it for Wizard/Shaman/Cleric?
I would be pretty tempted to just reprint Spirit Link. That this can be playable when used to enchant opponents' creatures can be quite unintuitive.
