See Trained Warhorse.
OK, lets see if I can also get a mount to work...
I think the mechanics are fairly clear, the question is, can they be boiled down to reminder text that's clear and fits on the card?
You can't stack mounts, or ride multiple mounts, or be ridden by multiple riders... I'm not sure if that needs to be specified.
I originally wanted a mount/unmount cost (or a "pay every combat step" cost) like equip, but it was word-ier.
Or, maybe, there should be a power limit (to avoid "how is my mammoth sitting on my horse?")
I think ignoring the power limit both simplifies and makes more hilarious. I think you can leave the details a single rider to the comp rules safely. The complexities of "Blocked together" is painful though. And this is a good demo card. This has flying. Its rider does not. What can block it? What about the other way around? How about if I have a flyer and a non-flyer and want to block with both?
I agree these all have fairly natural answers; but some of it needs to be spelled out - and the mechanic is pretty darn wordy even without.
How about wording it like:
You may not declare the rider as attacking or blocking. After ~ deals combat damage, the rider fights any remaining ... drat. Why doesn't magic have a term for 'that combatant'?
