Wacky! "If you would gain or lose life". I've never seen that done before. Cool!

Has the slight problem that it does function something like a Phyrexian Arena that gains you 20-30 life when it ETBs (or 60-80 in Commander). It's somewhat of a pity, because the concept and rules text is fantastic.

Should it have you lose more life? Is it fair as is? I don't think it's broken with the commander format as you have more players dealing more damage, some probably playing mill or burn. Also, you can only have one, but doubles wouldn't really be useful anyway.

Flavor wise, it represents a wizard slowly losing his mind as the price of such immortality.
