Did you mean for this to be a 2/2 for 2 mana in black with an upside? Generally black doesn't get that. Walking Corpse was the most efficient 2-drop {1}{b} can get you when it was printed.

I wanted each creature to have a bear that got a bonus from playing other creatures of the same color. I also want the creatures in this set to be really powerful and aggressive. It is suppose to be an arena after all.

I see the problem: your Front Page lists this as being in the "Novice" cycle, which are generally quite underwhelming if you don't have the match. I mean, green gets a 2/2 for {2}{g}, and green is a colour that most definitely does get 2/2 for {1}{g} with a significant upside. It seemed very odd for green to only get a Gray Ogre when black got a Grizzly Bears. But actually, the problem is just that the front page shows this in the wrong cycle.

This is definitely a bit better than black normally gets especially at common. If it got either +1/+1 or intimidate you could get away with it but getting both?
