The creation of functional reprints is certainly a precarious task, and sometimes adding that 1 toughness eases the conscience.

I'm not sure how important that bonus butt is to the function of the card though, so it may be more important to let it be pingable or killable by Noxious Charm, etc....

Really? I'd have thought the playerbase are happier with functional reprints than with cards that are strictly better than older cards. (Of course, cards that are strictly worse than older cards are most unpopular of all.)
