That's longenating it, not shoterablising it! (Hand, obv.)

Yeah, sadly. You would probably have to follow the wording of Conflux to properly get the effect you're looking for. "Each player may put a white permanent card, a blue permanent card, a black pregnant card, a red permanent card, and a green permanent card from his or her hand into the battlefield."

I suspect this could cost mono-green, tbh.

Plausibly; but it's intended for a five-colour deck. If all your cards are five colour (or nearly, for those with CMC 4 or less) then you'll be sure to be able to drop 5 things; where your opponents can probably only drop 1 or 2. So this mana cost is a really big hint in that direction.

(Sadly, of course, the simplest way to play 5-colour is with a monno-green mana base. But let's pretend.)

That's why I suggested the wording that I did. It does make sense that this would be 5c, I just meant to say that it could fit just in green.
