Why not lizard or even dinosaur for type? There's too many different kinds of dinosaurs to be honest. We wouldn't lump cats and wolves into one creature type called carnivora, would we?
Good Q. I really like sticking to existing creature types where I can, for more cross-set synergy. Although I guess old dinosaurs could be errata'd if necessary.
I wonder if "Lizard Theropod" or "Dinosaur Theropod" would be possible?
Recent sets are about 20% human, so if dinosaurs are more like 75% of the set, that might be too much. I've spent so long waiting for any dinosaurs I forgot you could have too much :)
