Roundabout way of pinging a creature for 1 if you want. Could fit into any green deck, and Green needs another way to deal with creatures than just combat tricks.
Changed name to Sting; existing card called Call of the Wild
Do we want to make this a 'may'? So you dont always have to lose the token?
That would be a good move I think.
Can be done, yeah
The original intent for this is to be able to ping with the insect, but since this needs to target both fighting creatures and targets are chosen before the card resolves the token can't be chosen.
Better: Make a creature that makes the fight happen as an ETB triggered ability.
Wording could be changed to: "Create a 1/1 green Insect creature token. Then you may have it, or another target creature you control, fight target creature you don't control." Lets it work as intended. Personally I dont think this card is that bad, but it could be replaced with a creature. Rather playtest this first though.
Changed so the token can fight when created.
Should be taking up a creature slot, see Embrace of Nati.
Switched to creature slot in skeleton, increased cost by
. Wanted to add something to this but couldnt think of a way to do so without over complicating it
Seems a bit odd to me to put this in a creature slot. Yes, it creates a token, but it isn't a creature.
Thats how these cards fit into the skeleton, noncreature spells which create tokens are put in the creature slot, creatures with 0 power are put into noncreature slots. If you think about it this is could essentially be a 1/1 that lets a creature you control fight a creature your opponent controls when it enters the battlefield.
It's silly that this needs to target another creature before you can get the token. Why is this a token creation spell at all? Could be a creature with an ETB trigger and have a far simpler and more standardized wording.
The trade-off of making this a sorcery does not seem worth it.
