For Challenge # 149, and part of a cycle with Underworld Network. The idea is that this card is part of a loose cycle that involves each color forcing discard in some way.
Originally, this was supposed to be closer to Karmic Justice for discard. My plan was to have this trigger whenever a spell or ability an opponent controls destroys this enchantment's controller's permanents. But then it occurred to me that people would expect Lightning Bolt to trigger that card when it wouldn't (Lightning Bolt doesn't destroy a creature; the damage it deals does.) I also thought about adding a damage dealing clause to the Karmic Justice ability, but that would make Disfigure strange. Figured it was better to just switch over to the damage dealing side of things as trigger.
And yes, I know that even in New Phyrexia this is a stretch. They did some weird things in that set, so maybe this is okay. Karmic Justice isn't technically in color pie, either... though it's a much older card.
