forgot the implant reminder text
Since implant has no physical way to make a player remember which creatures were implanted it overlapped with sync's encoding. Sync felt more limited in what I could do (especially since sync was in GWU) and implant was intended to be usable by all 5 colors and allied color combinations in the set. I will need to create a new mechanic in gwu.

Repeating the cost inside the brackets is the way they usually do reminder text for activated keyword abilities. See Ainok Bond-Kin and Vulshok Morningstar.
I assume this is meant to be able to implant multiple creatures?
I also note that this on its own is worse than Larceny: it costs



to get one creature implanted. However, I imagine this has enough synergy with other implant cards (they'll all notice each other) that it's worth putting it in the set.
I wasn't sure how to cost this, since the artifact's cost is separate from the implant cost. Maybe the card's cost could be
? I figured that the implant cost would want to be 

since discarding on a hit feels like you'd have more than one black mana involved.
