For Challenge # 143. I wasn't sure what to do with Pace. So I went to Wikitionary... which almost sent me off track. It turns out that an obsolete definition for Pace is "A passage through difficult terrain; a mountain pass or route vulnerable to ambush etc." Neat. But unrecognizable to most Magic players.

Instead, I figured I'd make a creature that needed to maintain a 'pace' to trigger an ability, or it would dwindle away. Oddly, that makes it primary in red and black, with maybe the occasional green card? I suppose Pace could also read "When ~ blocks" and end up on some white and blue cards. I know that's confusing... I wonder if it would be too confusing to bother...

Whoops. Forgot that this would get a -1/-1 counter on it the round it entered the battlefield. So I added 'if it could attack and did not' which also accidentally makes it not as bad against Pacifism and the like.

Could have made it a 3/4. It certainly would have been the simpler choice. I just thought it would be weird if the card always had a -1/-1 counter on it if it 'did nothing wrong'. Would be the better choice for an Eventide style set, though.
