Reminds me of Flying Crane Technique. That granted flying as well for the extra blue mana, but this has lifelink and haste... seems probably better.

I think these designs are well-liked by some, and they can serve a good role in a set. I very much enjoy that it can let you attack with revolution guys that just revolted!
