Does it even ignore its own protection from everything?

I can think of very little to deal with this. Spells, permanents and abilities don't work. Static abilities don't work. Special actions like morph would work, but only if they had an effect rather than triggering an ability that has an effect. Mass removal doesn't work (not even "shuffle all cards into their owners' libraries).

(i) Angel's Grace and Near-Death Experience I suppose, although that's hardly "dealing with" this. (Or othr alt-win cards.) (ii) Simply outracing the opponent by making a bigger life swing than 40 each turn (despite one of your creatures being blocked by this every turn, note that your creature having protection or >=20 toughness doesn't let it survive, but regeneration should) (iii) Does Clone kill this? It depends whether "coming into play as a copy of chosen creature" is "ignored" -- I imagine not, since it doesn't affect Super Progenitus, but this is something the rules will not be clear on.

Worship would probably work, because I'd imagine this thing's damage can't be prevented or redirected, but its effects could be altered. But yeah, "ignores all other spells and abilities at all times" is not exactly well defined :P

We could be evil about it and say "Well, this ability says 'ignore all other spells an abilities', so clearly all the other abilities on this card fall off."

Which still leaves a 20/20 stompy thing with shroud, but you can, for exqmple, chump block it now.

Such deliberate wording mis-reading should probably be punishable by ~, though.

I don't understand Island Sanctuary, isn't that a static ability, so won't it be ignored? And super progenitus has flying and islandwalk, are we arguing that island sanctuary says "OR"?

I think he's just using it as a way to avoid drawing himself to death :)

Doh. That makes sense, nevermind. (But isn't that covered by "can't lose the game"?)

Ug. No, I was using as a means to stop my opponent from gaining life. But I suppose the Super Progenitus would ignore that too. I was thinking of it as something I'm in charge of, but Super Progenitus's ability is so sticky it gets past anything in it's way. Replace Island Sanctuary with Kavu Predator. That should put him in a bind.

Couldn't it just have landwalk?

This is my favorite so far. So damn funny, but wouldn't that blue fattie from time spiral that turns every creature into a morph take care of this?

Ixidron? If this card's text made any sense in the rules at all, then Ixidron's triggered ability would be clearly an ability and thus ignored by Super Progenitus.

Wouldn't the line saying it ignores all other abilities mean it ignores its own final two effects? (ignoring for a moment that the rules don't actually work)

I think that's what SadisticMystic was pointing out in the first comment.

Changed ignore to try and define what I meant. You'd still have to sac it due to Geth's Verdict though.

This should have a picture of a facepalm.

Also you could consolidate this a little by replacing the landwalks with unblockable, then say something like: "If ~ would leave play, instead exile it and return it to the battlefield at the end of your turn." That would take care of the rather complex wording while preserving it's total indestructability. The reason I didn't just say "return it to play" is to prevent infinite loop if someone manages to give everything -20/-20 uEOT.

(Melvin nitpick: That wouldn't be an infinite loop, as the set of creatures a Mutilate or whatever applies to is locked in when it resolves. But your proposed wording is better anyway, so that if there are twenty Curse of Death's Hold on one player (juuust about possible in a two-player game) or twenty Night of Souls' Betrayal (very easy) it doesn't lock the game.)

Also I really think that you should just go keyword crazy (except for landwalk, which is if (forest) then (unblockable)), like add as many as you can, despite how stupid they are. Horsemanship? Already there. Banding? Check. Persist? Doesn't even make sense with the ability I suggesuted, but screw it, super prog. needs it.

It's already unblockable, so I don't see why it needs evasion abilities of any kind. Most of those abilities are already on regular Progenitus.
