Mutants are mutated other things
RAWR! I always liked Axebane Stag even if it isn't super playable.
Yeah, this was more important when we had Advancement in the set. Having common enablers is important.
Still, every set needs some massive creatures
I'm still gonna miss Advancement. Shame it wasn't as interesting as devotion.
I'm rather sad to see Advancement go as well. I thought it was a nice fit for the set - a gradual progress mechanic that has nice backward compatibility, and also a good fitting flavour.
In every playtest we had advancement ended up having a high comprehension complexity (and being fairly mathy) for a mechanic that was nearly always CMC-1. Also our design space at common didn't end up as large as we initially thought.
I think advancement has a place in another set, especially one where you can mess around with the colored costs more. But it wasn't working in Tesla.
Adding to skeleton
Having fun with the creature type. Not a big change at all.
Axebane Stag has been having a rough day.
swapping power and toughness and changing 6G to 5GG to increase average power
removing vanillas from skeleton temporarily
We definitely want something really expensive at common that we can blow our canisters on. Even a 7/7 for 7G would be solid.
Adding to skeleton
Played really well despite no actual text. Recharge/fixers makes this very playable
