Inspired by a discussion on Maro's blog about Highspire Mantis.
Baleful Strix in GW!
I have to say, somehow this just feels wrong, even though I can't say exactly why and it clearly fits the colour pie. I felt the same about Highspire Mantis. I think it's something like, white doesn't even want to share a card with deathtouch. Or that WG has its own feel, usually drawing from the stompy/fluffy end of green, not the nasty end of green. But since Highspire Mantis was printed, I assume Maro thinks its ok.
Yeah, I'm not feeling the hawk creature type. An insect maybe?
Or a Coatl. Or a flying honey badger.
This reminds me of how Ruric Thar having vigilance feels wrong to me.
