Created for Challenge # 125. Mechanic borrowed from Crypt Champion. I'm a bit vexed that it's not a "both red and black" mechanic the way that the rest of the cycle have mechanics which are to some extent both red and their other colour. The Swift Warkite approach seems a bit too unique for me to want to copy it here though.

It's a slightly-miniature Sun Titan. Fancy.

Yeah, I thought "return creature with CMC less than" was white, not black, but the examples you give suggest it's just a subset of "return creature".

Hee. Yeah, I was hoping to sweep briskly past the way this mechanic is indeed more normally white at the moment (Timely Hordemate, Return to the Ranks, quite a few others)... Swift Warkite shows that something similar is still accessible to black (as does Immortal Servitude).
