I think this is white primarily in concept rather than in mechanics. Actually, upon further thought, it might not be white at all... Oh well.

It's not un-white, you're right. I suppose what I meant to say is that it doesn't need white. Minus the flying and creature type, it could actually be mono-green.
FWIW, I don't think it's bad to have three colored designs that strictly speaking don't need the third color. A lot of those that exist are either strongly glue-gun-ish or could go without one of their colors (Finest Hour, Avalanche Tusker and Lavalanche come to mind as cards that could very well be monocolored). Card in that situation are usually held together more by flavor than color identity.
Adding on an extra color does generally allow the card to have a higher power level for its CMC.
Yes, there is that, but since we're having this entire discussion because you were complaining that your design "might not be white at all", that's also entirely irrelevant.
