An alternate approach to Gambits, as Jack suggested over on Material Gambit.

This version is all-upside, so it needs to be worse than the staples it references rather than better. That's fine: Raise the Alarm is very good, and a sorcery version is fine in white - cf Krenko's Command, Servo Exhibition etc.

The templating of the trigger is a little fiddly, as witnessed by the endless argument over at Infested Terran. This wording is based on Cathedral Membrane's Oracle text, and is okay, but it'd be cleaner if there could be an "if" rather than a "when" in there.

This wording also allows loopholes like attacking with other creatures then sacrificing the target. But if you're going to sacrifice the target anyway I guess it doesn't make much difference whether you attack with it or not. It'd be nice to make this say "dies due to lethal combat damage", but that's pretty horrible phrasing too... Saying "another two of those tokens" is a bit unusual too, but not unprecedented: Gather the Townsfolk and Increasing Devotion use that wording.

Thank you for taking up the idea! I like how it looks on the real cards (though I don't know for sure if it will work out).

I am a little worried about cards better-than-rampant-growth and better-than-divination and double-lightningbolt, but OTOH, they usually won't be, unless you have a trick they're strictly worse than "base effect plus target creature is unblockable" which is nice enough to want it, but is quite a small bonus rider.

The rest of the all-upside take on the cycle: Informational Gambit, Recovery Gambit, Aggressive Gambit, Positional Gambit.

The older opponent's-choice cycle: Material Gambit, Informational Gambit, [never made a black card], Aggressive Gambit, Positional Gambit.
