nod to cephalid pathmage and crafty pathmage. glad to see amphin pathmage in M15, been a long time since we've seen someone good at making magic holes.

The comparison with Amphin Pathmage makes it clear that this is quite a bit worse though. The Amphin can be used every turn, while this only gets one shot. (Yes, process and symbiosis, but lots of your cards will be fighting for those growth counters.) And this still charges you {1}{u} for the privilege, just one mana less than the Amphin does.

I think this is a fine growth-counter common (I suspect Amphin Pathmage is very strong as commons go), but the activation cost seems really high. Could it be "{1} and a counter", or "{t} and a counter"?

edited to make it {u}, you're right that this isn't good enough (amphin pathmage isn't stellar in M15 draft). would rather not make it a tap ability so he can target himself.
