See Challenge # 106. An aggressive Azorius charm. All three abilities are basically only any use when attacking. Flying is obviously white-blue; the second ability is a restricted Aethertow; and the third is a restricted Keep Watch. It's the most dubious colour-pie-wise... but given white gets to draw cards for things to do with its weenie armies, such as Mentor of the Meek, I'd argue this effect is fine for white.
Rosewater says white should probably be the worst at card-drawing, but "for each attacking creature" very much fits with building an army, not just sitting back and waiting to draw removal, so it seems to fit very well. My first thought was more "is this ok in U" not "is this ok in W" :) It's a lovely U/W charm, and I like how it feels skynight-y more than just genericly UW.
Thank you! :) Yeah, it's tricky giving white a mass card-draw effect, but they've done it recently for enchantments/Auras/Equipment - Mesa Enchantress, Kor Spiritdancer, Puresteel Paladin - so I do think this is reasonable in white. There is also Overwhelming Instinct in green, though...
Bah, and now I see Mark Rosewater has said that the Unexpectedly Absent effect will be in blue going forward but not in white! Maybe focusing on blocking creatures allows it to still be white?
I suspect it'll be a while before we see this applied properly (cf. Quarry Colossus). After all, they still can't seem to tone down artifact removal in white (cf. Revoke Existence in the same set as Fade into Antiquity) even after saying that white is supposed to be third in that ability.
