This is about a good time for you to define the mechanical color pie for the colors - at least these three. Looting, rummaging, discard are in which colors and color combinations?

I was just contemplating that colors are not just pro-STH, but also anti-STH.

For instance, what if

  • Dimir = pro-hand = draw card
  • Rakdos = anti-hand = discard
  • Izzet = both = draw + discard

If that's the philosophy behind Grixis Battlemage, why doesn't the first ability's effect cause every player to draw a card?
