Epochrasite + Albatross
A time eater. (Well, ok, it comes into play crappy, then when it dies comes back big again and again.)
And a large bird that dooms sailors.
Both are creatures that use counters; and do something when they die. So we're doing that.
Magic already has Giant Albatross; which ALSO has a death trigger, of sorta kinda killing things that hurt it. Wow, that's an old-school blue ability.
So we'll just mix 'em together - killstuff in combat (was deathtouch, but nah, go bluier than that) and if not cast from hand. Use 'monstrous' tech; and we've got something that might just be a bird, but it might be a doom-laden abomination from the grave.
No built in way to bring it back - but that's ok; it's a build hint. It's too complex to be common. This guy is saying "Build me a
reanimator deck, and I'll reward you with combat tricks"
Cost.. well, it's a Flying Men unless you jump through serious hoops - but it's pretty good if you DO jump through those hoops, so we'll cost it as a philosopher.
