Merfolk creatures you control have "All creatures able to block this creature do so."
With the revival of Challenge # 025 I was thinking of doing something like this with Gray Merchant of Asphodel, but couldn't do anything sensible with the second half, so I looked for older cards with Merchant in the name.
(I actually don't know how this would work rules-wise if you had multiple Merfolk attacking. Would you assign all blockers, or would your opponent?)
Your opponent must block, but he or she would get to choose which Merfolk he or she blocks. That said, it a very-Spike and Johnny friendly mechanic. Trying to figure out how many, and which Merfolk you should play in this deck could keep a conversation going all night.
