Giant growth aura, and also cast a bonus spell or two; and everyone kills half their creatures.

Not really sure where to go with that.

How about boiling your creatures down for spells. That sounds plausible.

Obviously, it just went black. (I guess blue could probably do it with different flavour; maybe even green) and very rare.

Cost... well, the main cost is sweeping your board. So probably just double-colour to make it clear this is very black.

Pretty much just kept the ripple part of the surging. Add some of the name (Was "flensing lore") and that suggests there should be a flensing cycle. Flensermite can be the common; just need an uncommon now. (Instant-speed Kill spell? Enchantment?)

I like this, I think.
