Tentacle Spire + Sip of Hemlock

You know, there's such a thing as taking "common creature destruction is a bit too good; make it worse" too far.

I'm just outright gonna say that Sip of Hemlock is a bad (though flavourful) card, and you (the mtg design team) should feel bad. It's not even instant! It's Murder and then three extra mana to deal 2 damage.

And, yeah, ok, a combat trick to block stuff; it's outside white, but both blue and green get flyer-hate. At least it only costs one hybrid mana. I'd usually prefer Jump, so that's a pretty bad card too.

So. Make a card at common that you'd feel bad about being forced to pick, even though it technically does something useful (to opponents creatures). Three colours used, so we'll go {r/w} for this one.

Odd place for a mix to be - white gets lots of combat tricks, and creature nerfing. Red... really doesn't. The closest it gets is "Must attack if able". And, huh; there's a common trope that hasn't been a magic card for AGES, and I can use up a common name in a "This will be a keyword in future" way.

So that's nice. But has kinda omitted all of the whiteness.

I could actually make this useful, you know - I could add in something on the white side that erased other abilities and made it so that this was actually useful as a way to get rid of utility creatures (rather than just forcing them to act in main1)

But no; I'm supposed to be making a bad card. So here it is. Beserk; not pure-red; not with a "destroyed if they do not" rider.

At least it's simple.

*berserk. Also, Berserk

Oh; I mis-spelled it while searching gatherer. (And get the odd half-card bug on hover there.)

Well, never mind. "Must attack each turn if able" is the obvious candidate for a keyword of that type; so I'm reclaiming it.

(Decided against changing it to: "Enchanted creature is Serk")
