Goblins are very good at throwing boiling oil around, as long as you don't mind where it goes.
This strikes me as fairly interesting. Most of the time, if you have five or ten spare creatures to tap, they'll be 1/1s, so this will kill them - at which point it's not as good as Thermopod or Skirk Prospector, though it'll still work to power out a dragon you couldn't otherwise afford. But if you can keep them alive... which could be with anything from Light of Sanction or Lashknife Barrier through Goblin Caves or Absolute Law... then it's a pretty powerful mana engine. Not as explosive as Heritage Druid, but the same rate of return.
And of course it helps sweep up your opponent's tokens too.
Created for Challenge # 097 from Seething Song, Dwarven Catapult and Nullmage Advocate. I decided I wanted to mash the Nullmage into something, and then the pair of red instants leaped out at me.
