I was thinking that we might want to bump up the toughness and make it a 3/5. Bringing it more in line with cards like Siege Mastodon and Thraben Purebloods.

Humm, still seems slightly overcosted to me. Hard to justify making even a pack of dogs 2/7 though. Flavourwise this had better be one stonkingly huge mechanical monster of a dog.

3/5s for 5 are the norm at common, and this is better than that.

Also, Archester features a race of dog people called Canid, so this is actually a humanoid dog not just a normal one.

Since we're needing more vanilla creatures, what do you guys think about us changing this to a vanilla and dropping vigilance part?

We already have another vigilance white card at common anyway, maybe this will serve us better as a vanilla...

This does seem like a good candidate for vanilla. I agree with MOON-E that we should focus on limited to determine what needs to change for complexity, but the set would not suffer losing this line of rules text.
