For Challenge # 078

Taking Alex's example, I chose one number for CMC and one number for damage. And I told myself in advance that the damage had to actually be a relevant part of the card, and it had to be an instant or sorcery which would usually be cast without repeating it.

So, how to make 1 damage for 4 mana interesting? Welcome back Panglacial Wurm. I think this is fair. It's massively overcosted by normal standards, but there will always be times when that extra one damage, without spending a card, will be what you're desperate for. It might work slightly better at 2 damage?

I was thinking about it, but I'm not sure. I guess I'd need to see it tested. All I could think was "It's fair, since it's just the activated ability from Flamekin Spitfire. But that doesn't mean it's good. Is it good?"

Hmm. It's in that category of cards that you want in your deck but don't want to draw, like an Eldrazi if you're doing evil Polymorph tricks. You get a Flamekin Spitfire activation off a fetchland or some random thing... hmm.

This seems fair. It's possible it's a bit low-powered to be usable, but I can see it catching people by surprise some times. Yeah, good approach.
