Soramaro, First to Dream + Abolishing Blow

Hmmm, disenchant sorcery; but with kicker; and a blue stompy that cares about cards in hand, and provides a way to quickly GET cards into hand. Albeit with the land sweep mechanic that is not very blue friendly. (Blue needs those lands for countering stuff.)

So, I kept the double, and the blow part - and the land sacrifice to increase power part. And it's {u/w} rather than {u}{w} primarily due to the ugliness of the gold card frame. (Also, I chose not to use the words "first blow" in the name.)

I don't really get your thought process here. I'll just say that double strike probably doesn't belong on a {w/u} hybrid card.

And what's wrong with the gold frame? I think it's pretty.

It just looks crappy compared with the nice wide gradient one, to my eyes.

You're right that pure blue probably shouldn't really get double-strike; but I wanted to work the double part in.

Huh. I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. I've always found hybrid cards unattractive.

Huh, interesting. I have fond nostalgic memories of the gold frame (perhaps mainly from Ravnica),but I do love the hybrid gradient. I think Multiverse's imitation of the hybrid frame is better than its gold frame too.

Given that a 3/3 double strike costs 6, this is a fine mono-white card, but shouldn't be castable by blue.
