This is the Absorb mechanic from Lymph Sliver otherwise 2 mana for what is basically a 3/2 at common is possibly a bit undercosted. I could see this as an Uncommon though.

Actually, the best card to compare this to would be Blade of the Sixth Pride which is a 3/1 for {1} {w} .

Comparing with that maybe this isn't that crazy. Sorry my first instinct was that this was too good to be a common. Having read your concepts page, I understand where this would sit in your set.
