Plausible mana fixer?
Well, it's a strictly better-than forest; with two different 'tap for green mana' abilities; which I've been dinged for before. Assuming there's a cycle of these, it would enable a chain-reaction landfall; which is probably a bad thing. Either ETB tapped, or not be a forest, or both?
The thing it puts onto the battlefield is tapped, if that helps...
first ability is a reminder
Even with the Mountain being ETB tapped, it's still better-than-Forest. But if this ETB tapped, then it's much worse than Gruul Guildgate. Tricky.
You could have this tap to add
to your mana pool, then sacrifice for either tapped Forest or tappped Mountain. Now that I think of it... why haven't they done that yet? Is it me?
jmg's suggestion is pretty similar to Jund Panorama. But yes, there's room for a cycle similar to the Panoramas that only get 2 types not 3, but only cost
+Sac to pop (not
+
+Sac). It'd still be an interesting comparison to Evolving Wilds because that can't tap for mana the turn you cast it.
