For Challenge # 063. Don't know if Americans have this tradition as much as in Britain? The Snowman is shown without fail every Christmas on British TV, and there was a classic spoof version by Irn-Bru last year.

As far as I know, The Snowman hasn't gained as much traction in the U.S.. I did notice that the word 'Brittish' appears a lot in the Wikipedia page. I know I've seen pieces of it. Probably on Public Broadcasting. We don't spend a lot on our public broadcasting... we just steal half of it from the BBC. ;)

This, of course, makes me want to compare notes as to which holiday specials you guys regularly watch compared to which ones we watch, but that conversation's got a good chance of being entertaining at first, then annoying as it continues. I do need to know this, though: Does everyone over there insist that they need to watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" like it's their religion, every year? I think they're both fine holiday specials, but man, I know a few people who take them far too seriously.

Maybe I'm weird for this, but I have never enjoyed Charlie Brown holiday specials. Or anything Charlie Brown-related, really.
I've never even heard of The Snowman, but that could be my own failing.
Btw, Jon's creatures would always have flying.

I think what people will watch varies a lot from household to household. Doctor Who and Wallace and Gromit are probably some of the most watched in the UK (after the current Christmas episode of the big soap operas). The Snowman is more a kind of epitome of Christmas TV than actually watched that much itself. Some James Bond film or other probably also features pretty highly.

The only Christmas special I watch is the Doctor Who one, coincidentally named "The Snowmen" this year and memorialized by Hungry Snowmen.

What's the ruling on when player/s can sing pitches too high for other player/s to hear?
