For Challenge # 060. Since my last card also looked like it could live in a world of snow, I figured I'd take another hack at it here. My intent, at first, was to show a Frost Bitten card that did a 180 and liked lots of Snow permanents, as opposed to Coldsword Claimant who liked very few. My mind ended up with... a sort of Wizard... which was clearly not what the artwork portrayed...
Evidently, Some Sort of Wizard
Uncommon
Frost Bitten
When ~ enters the battlefield, draw a card for each Snow permanent you control.
1/1
I thought it was clever, though, I admit, you could only get away with printing 1-3 cards like this in a set, and only in the uncommon slot. Too many players would complain if it was a common, because they'd see it too often. Too many player would complain if it was a rare, because they wouldn't want it to be their 'money card'.
Anyway, after rejiggering, I came up with this... which is a bit odd, since it seems to reward you for not playing Snow-Covered Lands, but rewards you for playing other expensive Snow permanents. And if your opponent has no snow, then you have a bonus mildly better than Sands of Delirium for more.
