For Challenge # 061. What a bad pun of a collective group. Well, sure, I'll take it. I would have added a picture, but I couldn't find one of a large group of swallows next to bird houses. Easy to draw, but not exactly something that happens in real life... they'd all be inside.
According to Wikipedia, many breed of Swallow are rarely seen in their natural habitat anymore. They have such a long running relationship with humans that they either live out of bird houses constructed by humans, or they build their nests right under the overhangs of houses. Purple Martins are very susceptible to this... they aim to take over standard-sized bird houses. If all the bird houses were removed from North America, it is possible that the species would become extinct.
