Powerful. A very flavourfully black powerful (advantage now, bad side later) but powerful.

Umm... "Draw 1 card" is not "powerful". Every colour gets 1-mana cantrips: Aphotic Wisps is better than this in 3 ways!

If this was "Draw 2 cards" for 2 mana, then it'd be an interesting alternative to Sign in Blood.

Oh; hah - good point. You're only drawing the card you would have drawn had you not put this card in your deck. And since it has no positive side effect...

For some reason I thought this hung around.

Complete brainfart on my part. It's still a very black thing to do - but you're right, it could stand to be a more useful powerful effect now.

I get the impression this has pronoun problems. Hey, Sorrow! Is 'He or She' supposed to be 'You (Understood)'?

I took Alex's advice and increased its draw capability (added {1} over {b} because the drawback is significantly worse than Sign in Blood's). I don't like the wording of the last effect though.
