Good point noyahuid. Also, the other mechanic doesn't really work with the rules because you don't specify a timing. You need to say when the cards are drawn. My suggestion is "Draw a card whenever a creature blocks this creature.". I think that would mean you get the trigger first thing in the declare blocker phase.
Yes, I should change the wording of Extort. While toughness reduction is not a significant thing in Eluim, I do have more plans for damage and frequency of it that separates brittle from a toughness of 1.
Alright, accepting that Brittle is a failure. I am temporarily postponing this set until I can create a flavorful creature mechanic to replace it with.
If Reflective is okay, then I feel I have the inspiration to finish this block. I suppose I should ask though, the second set would contain the following mechanic
Taint- As long as is tapped then so-and-so happens.
I question whether or not making that into a mechanic name is valid. Did Morbid need to be a mechanic on creatures?
The second mechanic the following set would introduce is Underdwell, which allows tapped creatures to block as though they were untapped and additionally, can only be blocked by other creatures with Underdwell. I've heard Wizards has been hesitant on allowing tapped creatures to block because it caused some problems or complications. Unfortunately, I do not know what those complications are.
It's hard to comment on reflective, because you suppress the reminder text everywhere it appears! Seriously, if a mechanic appears on 8 cards, it should have reminder text on all of them, even the rares. If it's on 20 cards, you should still aim to include reminder text on all cards with it, even rares and mythics: see e.g. Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, Growing Ranks, Martial Law.
Extort is now Shakedown because I can't come up with a better name.

be better added to those cards. This is for comments on the set as a
whole.
How often will 'brittle' be different from having a toughness of 1? Are -x/-x effects prevalent enough to need introducing a new keyword? :)

Time to rename Extort now that it's been used on official cards.
Eh, renaming Extort isn't one of my high priorities.
