.. a flying squirrel golem? Really? Cool! Not even 'un'. How did I miss that one? (Well, apart from it being overpriced crap. Colourless is a serious price premium; but I think that costs more than any colour has to pay)

And a first strike haste thing that also has an ability (though in this case, it's cycle from play)

I think we'll go with 'gains first strike' as an ability.

Price looks about right. (Cf Razorfoot Griffin; you only get a 2/2 flying haste for 3 mana if it's gold - Skyknight Legionnaire.) But could this at least be red or white? Red gets cats from time to time, and gets first strike and sorta gets flying, unlike green.

Nope. It's a green cat. It jumps from trees and eats squirrels. (Yeah, mechanically you're right. However, this cat is squirrel flavour, and thus green. Possibly purple stripes.)
