Creatures don't die of damage during the resolution of an ability, so that part won't work.
"when a creature dealt damage this way dies this turn, ~ fights another target creature"
Although I'm a fan of adding "wins a fight" to the rules, e.g. Knock-Down Brawl
"Then, if a creature you don't control died this way, " to "hen, if ~ won the fight
Honestly "wins a fight" is pretty good.
This still doesn't work. Lethal damage is not checked during the resolution of an ability - hence neither creature will die. That's why Skyshroud Ambush uses a triggered wording the way dude1818 suggested.
Speaking of Skyshroud Ambush: Apparently surviving is enough to "win a fight" on that official card.
