Changed ability order.
This is awesome.
Hmm. At first I thought the overload would make me draw then discard my deck. I thought that was pretty funny. Then it occurred to me that Overload changes "Target player" to "Every Player". Ah well. Still, a nice alternative to Prosperity.
Thanks, visitor. Jmgariepy, were you confused because you were thinking of the card as the target?
I kind of don't process Overload correctly. Whenever I see it, my mind goes "When I Overload, do something ridiculoulsy!" Not "Replace every instant of 'target' with 'every'". That's my fault, though, not a fault with the way the card is written. Reminder text, though, would probably help.
I did think the reminder text for overload was a bit weird. I felt it could have changed "target" to "any number of targets" with the same effect and simpler (since you almost always want to hit "all my stuff" or "all the opponent's stuff").
You mean it isn't "Target player draws every card!"?
And yes; until that last couple of comments I avoided commenting on this card because I was reading: Snoofle : Buzwark!
I hope wizards is paying attention to this site.
It would be nice, eh? There are a lot of Magic sites out there, though, and I know... well... Rosewater at the very least has said that he tries to avoid looking at other player's design so he doesn't accidentally steal something. But then again, Wizards once hired someone to help work on Fifth Dawn that only got that job because Rosewater looked at his design (they were at a tournament together and hit it off). So, so much for that.
I did do a quick Google search for some open-ended items like "Amateur Magic Design", "Custom Magic Cards" and "Magic Design Challenge". Multiverse isn't on page one of any of them, which is understandable, because sites like GatheringMagic.com exist. In fact, I dug even further into 'card design challenge' and eventually gave up on page 10, when I finally found Goblinartisan. On page 10. Crazy. Well, that's our reality check. It's possible, but who knows.
I do know this, though. When the GDS3 ever happens, if any of us end up in the final 10, then we've got an accidentally excellent support network established and in place. I know if they gave me wiki space, I'd ignore it, come straight here and say "Alright guys, we got our work cut out for us."
Heh. Well, I've always thought that "when I've just done X and Y" I'll make a bigger push to try to publicise Multiverse. X and Y vary over time, of course :P but one of the perennial problems is that on Heroku's free and lowest paid tiers, the performance is still pretty horrible. I keep meaning to get around to trying hosting the site myself for a bit and see if I can get the performance any better.
I tend to reckon that if Multiverse struggles to cope with the number of users we have at the moment, it's not really ready for a massive marketing push. (Of course, that's not to say keep it secret - by all means mention it in forums and to friends, keep people coming in. But I'm not going to be making a series of Reddit posts or similar just yet.)
