For Challenge # 053. A mash-up of Brilliant Ultimatum and Ravenous Rats.

I strive to make mash-ups seem like an intermediate point, rather than an agglutination of all aspects of both cards. Which is hard. This doesn't have anything from the rats except "discard a card at sorcery speed".

But I really like that it seems to capture the flavour of a discard-based brilliant ultimatum with simpler rules, not more complex ones :)

Agreed. The first idea for a mashup is sometimes the best one, but not always. I find that when I back up and try a second or third time that those are the keepers.

I like this mechanic. I kind of wish it was only two cards, since three cards in the late game is close to "Target player discards the rest of their hand" and there isn't that much stress left in this card. That being said, you started with Brilliant Ultimatum, and the feel of Ultimatum needs to stay in the card. I get that.
