For Challenge # 044.
Is this too good? It's potentially "discard a card every turn", even locking them out of any future draws. But that's really unlikely unless you have a combo. (It may be playable if you name the card you're most scared of every time.)
The biggest problem is combo'ing with cards that let you look at the top card beforehand. I nearly had them shuffle their library, or let them pay N life to avoid the effect, but decided that was too annoying when you weren't cheating. I think the combo is not too strong: it's obviously "win the game" if you get it right, but most of the time you'll assemble it too late, when the opponent already has some removal in hand.
Hmmm. There are quite a few cards that make the top card permanently revealed: not just Field of Dreams, Psychic Network and Yet Another Aether Vortex, but also Lantern of Insight and Wizened Snitches. I fear it is a bit too good with those (and a bit too bad without it). It's somewhat more of a Johnny card than a Timmy card.
Heh. How about "Whenever the top card of a library is revealed, sacrifice ~."?
That's a cunning solution that could work. At least until there's a repeatable fateseal effect easier that Mesmeric Sliver + Sliversmith.
