Created for Challenge # 033 and riffing off jmgariepy's Siren's Eyes.
I tried a version of this with Auras, but the wording was horrible. Token creatures make it rather easier.
That's really interesting. The progression is quite scary.
Turn 2: Pay 2 mana, 1 banshee chorus
Turn 3: Lose 1 life, pay 2 mana, 2 banshee chorus
Turn 4: Lose 4 life, Pay 4 mana, 4 Banshee chorus under opponent's control.
Turn 4 1/2: Lose 16 life.
But it is hard to ensure your opponent can't aim them back at you.
Wow. That's going to go out of control very fast. you do realize that the first time this is activated, your opponent will be taking 4 damage? By that point, the banshee's won't have summoning sickness, so your opponent can activate them (assuming, let's say, that he has
mana) and that you will be taking a grand total of 16 damage.
heh. Beat to the punch.
Ha, yes, perhaps that should just be "you lose 1 life" or "you lose 2 life" rather than X.
I'm not positive. I think most cards should probably not have damage (2x)2. But protecting a fragile creature, and paying a total of eight mana over three turns is a reasonable investment :) But 16 damage is a pretty big return.
ETA: Ooh, superscripts. I didn't realise the markup did that :)
Interesting to compare this with Pack Rat.
