This was inspired by the hybrid mana design Challenge # 027. I was originally looking at color combinations that could do "destroy target creature", and I was considering that GR could possibly justify it if G gave deathtouch or 1/1 and R gave damage, and that led to other possible overlaps between B and R being "must attack".
Then I remembered that U and G had had alluring siren (only when it made sense in flavour) and provoke / prized unicorn and wondered if I could do it in
. But then I decided the flavour was sufficiently compelling it should be made as is, and it wanted to be GU or G. Neither G nor U normally gets "attacks if able", but I thought it was right for the card :)
Heh. If all your friends overpopulated then committed mass extinction by leaping off a cliff, would you do it too?
Is it right to mention here that lemmings jumping off a cliff is a rumor invented by Disney Filmmakers? I always get confused with rumors that everyone wants to believe is true, but isn't supported by a shred of evidence. You know, like J. Edgar Hoover crossdressing or the water in the toilet running counter-clockwise in Australia.
Hmm, the ability to attack isn't an ability. That should probably be rationalised sometime.
Yeah, I decided to create the card, but I'm not sure if I should perpetuate false memes even in fantasy, or not.
Heh. There's potential for a card in the Peculiar Distortion family costing
, going something like "The next time damage would be dealt to target creature this turn, destroy it instead. ~ deals 1 damage to that creature." :)
LOL. Yeah, exactly.
I managed to refine that idea down to monogreen: Peculiar Savagery.
I remember seeing this, and liking it, but apparently I never said so.
I think this could fit in
, too.
