I said something about a mechanic that could evoke other creatures, and I decided to make a card to see what that would look like. Unfortunately, while I love the flavor of it, it's way too wordy. There are alternate ways for it to work, of course, but overall it requires too many words to work, especially at common. Perhaps there could be a rare that does something similar, though.

I agree this is fun as a oneoff effect, but not very sensible as a mechanic or at common. It'd more conventionally be done like this... in fact, I'll create that as a card itself: Gorgon Slavemaster.

You know, I like the idea, but I don't know how to twist it without ending up with Soulshift.

I really don't think "evoke other creatures" is a sensible mechanic to try to spread across several cards. It's a good idea for a oneoff rare, but it's just too limited in usefulness to be a mechanic on multiple cards.
