Oh, excellent, I really like that.
Although sadly I think copying usually costs more than that, and you don't get that much of a discount for creating smaller tokens, because sometimes you'll be trebling Adaptive Shimmerer or Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite
Whoops. I edited this comment because I misread the card.
Well, that second one wouldn't work too well, since it's a legend. But yes, you'd usually be copying small things with evil ETB effects.
How much? Clone is 4, and so I could reasonably see this being cost at about that much.
My brain followed the wrong paths regarding the cost and considered it as though it were removal with a drawback, and not more of a boon.
I really like the card. I imagine it should be rare though.
And yes, it's great on your Elite Guardmage or Mulldrifter or whatever, but sometimes it would work as removal, especially on something legendary and big and stompy like Ghalta, Primal Hunger or Yidaro, Wandering Monster.
I mean, this could be used for removal, but it would likely be more consistently used as a boon, for sure. The only time I can see a player using this as removal is to desperately get rid of a huge board-threat... maybe a Desecration Demon or a Carnage Tyrant... Casting this against a bogles deck would be hilarious too.
Reminds me of a card I made called Mossmound Horror, definitely an awesome and powerful effect!
Edit: Alex commented a similar thing before I finished posting, damn my stubby fingers!
I guess it could also be hilarious removal if you get to hit a giant creature with a big drawback :)
Yes, the times you get to use this as removal will be hilarious.
And sometimes you'll want to use it to turn their huge stompy creatures into three tiny creatures.
I suppose if that was your focus, you could make this "Exile target creature an opponent controls" and get back to the original 2-cost. But that feels like a much less interesting card.
