The goal of synchronize is that the spell with synchronize will resolve at the same time as another spell. I probably don't have this worded correctly in order to do that.
Okay. Let's say: I cast spell A, someone else casts spell B and this is cast as spell C and synchronizes with spell A.
Now, A and C being synchronized do they resolve before or after B?
If the order of casting goes Spell A, Spell B, and Bounce Back, with Bounce Back being synchronized to Spell A, Spell B will resolve before spells A and Bounce Back simultaneously resolve.
The reminder text should reflect which of the two "places on the stack" the spells share, then.
I see your goal, but I think it would be better realized by changing the implementation completely. I... Hmm. I started brainstorming a way to do it, but then I realized that Everdream does it best. Synchronic Bounce was going to be my suggestion.
Yeah, this is just splice. What happens if this targets the same thing as the synchronized spell?
@Link- I wanted this to be be able to synchronize with an opponent's spell.
@dude1818- Active player chooses priority of which spell goes off first. That being said, I am aware this makes the applications for synchronize very niche.
"which spell goes off first" -> so they're not actually at the same place in the stack. You're better off making it
> As you cast this, choose another spell. This resolves immediately [before/after] that spell does.
> @dude1818- Active player chooses priority of which spell goes off first.
That's inconsistent with existing rules. It should be APNAP order and controller chooses IIRC.
