Welcome back! NTC#034 is a built around the concept of Rule of Law, but doesn't get too upset if you choose to cast a third or fourth spell. #034 also counters spells, which is a rarity for White, but I think few people would argue with the result if they saw this printed on a Magic card.

This card technically needs a creature type, but more importantly, what is its name?

Creature- Human Monk
Name- Monk oof the Silent Moment

I kinda want some pun on 'two' in here.
This is far too fighty for the usual priest denial. I'm thinking... some kind of secret police. They notice your eevul magic, and get ready - then on the second occurrence they charge in and bust some heads.

Looking at existing inquisitors - they are almost all clerics. And one minion. And an ox. An ox. Ox is a creature type? Magic has 15 oxen. And about half are elementals. Wow.

But I digress. (Both ears and the tail.) Minions seems about right for a secret police.
Suppression Cabal - Minion

Knight Penitent

This definitely seems like an Advisor to me. Might as well be Human too, if it had Flying i'd make it an Aven, and if it had some sort of climbing mechanic, it would be a Kor.

Can't think of any good {w} (racial) creature types right now... so a Human as our Advisor will have to do...

Hmm... for a name, maybe something close to real-world governmental would be interesting, unique and immersive.

I don't know if this is how government works, but I'm playing a game on another website that says it works like this (the GM is an (ex?)-politician, so it's probably fairly accurate): I've heard that, in the USA, the Speaker of the House has the ability to veto a bill back to a lower level of congress, and increase the votes required to pass it back up from 50% to 75%, or something.

So, maybe something like "Veto-ing Senator"... that sounds super dumb, though. So, I'll go with a similar word:

Senator of Repeals or Repealing Legislator or something synonymous is my idea. Maybe Annulment Speaker, etc etc

Link threaded the needle this week, keeping numbers relevant in this card's name while making sure the name was still evocative. It was tied in the vote with Monk of the Silent Moon, which was also strong... but someone's got to be the tie breaker, and I guess that's me.

See everybody in (((NTC #035)))!

Woo, I did it.

Congrats!

I didn't actually get the pun in your name until JM pointed it out :P
