Wait; "Then they complete that search" - so they still get to find a card; you just get to exile whatever you think will be their first choice?

I fear the practical concern on this - searching is already slow; and now it's slowed down by you also getting to look through their full deck too?

This does make searching take longer, but it also discourages your opponent from searching unless they're desperate.
