Ummmm what? So the spell itself doesn't do anything when it resolves? This is a common?

I am confused as to why this isn't something to the effect of "This spell deals 1 damage to you, add ."

Yeah; making it optional is kinda weird here. I mean, it was already optional - you could have chosen to not cast the spell!

Additionally, I'm quite certain going up a single mana at the cost of a card doesn't need an additional drawback. Just "Add {r} {r} ." could be the whole text of this card IMO.
